ABOUT ABOUT

The Electrifying Sequel to the Greatest Story Ever Told.

The Second Coming, 25 years in the future, Jesus is cloned in the most literal fulfillment of the prophecy of the Second Coming. He is brought back as a clone by CloneCast Corporation—a corporation led by Luci, a cut-throat ambitious control freak to fulfill a prophecy and become a rock star to reach a greater audience. Marilyn Monroe has also returned, as well as numerous celebrities and historical figures. Jesus struggles to learn more about himself and understand his true destiny. He and Marilyn become friends, while Luci becomes his greatest adversary.

Souled Out is an original rock extravaganza, created by Seth Sharp and Lynn Rawden. The musical score consists of fourteen original songs by Seth Sharp and recorded with Billy White. The music is a delicious, mouthwatering taste of the forbidden fruit—a futurist cocktail of Rock, Pop and Hip Hop—bringing the storyline to intoxicating highs.

The story comes from a seed of a concept that was inspired by the cloning of Dolly The Sheep in the late 90s. Dolly was remarkable because she was the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell. At that time, they had the chilling notion that Jesus may not be far behind, with the Shroud of Turin as a source of potential DNA, it seemed possible to actually bring Him back. What would this modern Jesus clone think of our contemporary society? How would He feel suddenly learning that the world had been waiting for Him for 2000 years? If billions of people believed you were divine, would you actually become that?

After six years in the making, Seth and Lynn's story is ready to be told. They've enlisted John Morrow, who directed Seth in Hedwig and the Angry Inch in 2010. along with a team of talented friends. They have decided to open the show April 10—just before Easter 2019—as a tribute to the great holiday of the Resurrection. Souled Out is a hero’s journey to find his life’s true purpose, in a world that is rife with expectations and hypocrisies. It is both a critical message to today's techno-culture and a great love letter to the true spirit of Jesus. We have faith that it will inspire and uplift our audiences.
